THE mayor of Oswestry has called on residents to join him and fellow councillors on a litter pick to help keep the town tidy.
Councillor Duncan Kerr was joined this weekend by his fellow town councillors Olly Rose and Mike Isherwood to pick litter.
And he wants others to join him and help keep green areas tidy from what he called a 'small minority'.
“Unfortunately Covid-19 hasn’t stopped the small minority of people who threaten wildlife by discarding litter," he said.
"Our socially-distanced litter picks are therefore continuing and we welcome volunteers to help us keep our parks and open spaces enjoyable and safe for all.
"Our next litter pick will be on Wilfred Owen Green at 2pm on Sunday, October 25 (meet by the Cambrian entrance).
"If you are able to join us that would be great, please bring your face covering."
