A parish council has announced that the public will be able to speak to staff face to face on one day a week as a response to the latest coronavirus safety measures. Following Government guidance issued on Tuesday, North Weald Bassett Parish Council staff will be working from home, with the council's face-to-face administrative centre at The Parish Hall, Weald Hall Lane, Thornwood Common, open on Mondays only.
The Prime Minister announced that all staff who could work from home should do so as part of new measures to limit a second wave of Covid-19.
The parish council will be operating a walk-in service for residents' enquiries with council staff available between 10am and 12pm.
