A SOUTHALL school has been honoured for its work in promoting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of pupils and staff.
Featherstone Primary in Western Road received the Wellbeing Award for Schools.
It is described in the accompanying report as a school where everyone can thrive.
Head teacher Des Lee said: “Children's mental health issues are becoming increasingly common, with rising numbers of children experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal feelings or self-harm.
“Even during the many months of school lockdown, with increased levels of anxiety and depression, we continued to help and support [them].”
