A new Covid-19 testing site has opened up in Wembley to provide more options for people in Brent and Harrow.

The new walk-in site, located at London Road a short distance away from Wembley Central station, opened on Tuesday (September 22).

Anyone with an appointment is asked to walk or cycle to the centre, and drivers are asked to park locally at either Wembley Central, St John’s Road or Lonsdale Avenue to reduce congestion at the site.

Brent Council says appointments can be booked online at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119 – but the service remains quite busy and people have been either unable to book a test or are being asked to travel far distances to another centre.

NHS England reminds users that if they cannot get a test now, or the location or time is inconvenient, to try again in a few hours.

If no tests are available online, do not call the helpline to get a test as no extra tests will be available through the helpline.
