Tesco shoppers in Ealing contribute to £3m fund-raising effort
PEOPLE in Ealing have contributed towards an overall donation of £3m this month to three life-saving charities heavily impacted by COVID-19.
Tesco stores across the borough supported the Tesco Health Charity Partnership’s appeal to raise money for Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK from September 1-13.
Customers reached the total by rounding up their shop in store to the nearest £1.
Over the 13 days, customer donations amounted to nearly £1.5m, with Tesco matching contributions.
