POLICE shut down a brothel after being alerted by a member of the public earlier this month.

Colliers Wood Neighbourhood Policing Team were first made aware of the brothel on Devonshire Road on September 2.

Following an investigation, officers searched the property on September 12.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: "Officers attended the address on September 12.

"On inspecting the address officers saw evidence in relation to the purpose of the address, and steps were made to alert the landlord of the property.

"All inhabitants were spoken to ensure their welfare.

"By the 14th, the tenants had vacated the address.

"No arrests were made.

"At this point there is no further investigation in relation to the property.”
