THE University of West London in Ealing is celebrating being named University of the Year for Student Experience in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.

Prof Peter John, its vice-chancellor, said: “Every day our students are demonstrating the talent, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that will help them go on to successful and rewarding careers.

“They will be helping the economy grow in the future and finding the solutions to our most pressing problems.”

Alistair McCall, Editor of the Good University Guide, said of UWL: “The secret would appear to be to create a student-centric experience with high levels of support and first-class facilities. Students are justifiably proud of their university.”

UWL is extending its campus with a new temporary site on the former Ealing Fields High School building at Hanwell for the next 12 months.

It will help meet the need for additional teaching space.
