A teenager was chased down and stabbed in the buttocks by three men who jumped out of a vehicle in Epping High Road to attack him.
The 17-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to safety by a passing motorist who found him in Ivy Chimneys Road.
Detectives are appealing for the motorist or any other witnesses to come forward following the incident at 1am yesterday morning (Monday, September 14).
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We received reports that a man was chased by three men who got out of a vehicle in High Road.
"We believe the suspect's vehicle was playing loud music, although we haven’t been provided a description of the car."
