A relieved pet owner has welcomed her much-loved cat home after he went missing for more than 48 hours.
Amy-Louise Budd was ‘heartbroken’ after her beloved cat Oscar went missing from her home in James Street, Epping, just after midday on Saturday, September 12.
Following an extensive campaign on social media to raise awareness, Oscar has been returned home safe and sound.
Louise said: “He had been trapped in a neighbours garage the entire time. The funny thing is that the neighbour had already checked for him and he had hidden in fright. All the coverage of Oscar had prompted quite a lot of searching from and these particular neighbours had checked a few times but found nothing until Monday evening when they saw his face peeping around the corner when they went in there with some tumble drying.
“I had to pull him out which I think shows that even with a confident boy like Oscar, being trapped cats don’t always know how to escape.”
