Some of the strangest things removal drivers from a firm dubbed ‘Uber for moving’ been asked to move during house moves by customers in the UK have been revealed.

A coffin full of bones in the basement was revealed as the weirdest item, followed by a life-size blow-up doll of Rick Astley and a gold b*ndage suit.

Since May 2020, the removal platform has seen enquiries for house moves more than double.

An online delivery and removals platform has revealed the strangest items moved by its professionals during house moves in the UK, with a coffin full of bones and life size Rick Astley mannequin topping the list.

The platform, Shift, reached out to its community of movers asking them to submit some of the strangest items they have had to transport when helping customers move house, after an internal survey discovered that more than two thirds (65 per cent) have felt ‘uncomfortable’ when carrying out a job, and a further quarter (26 per cent) said this was due to what they were moving.
