The end of summer means one thing and what better way to kick autumn off than devouring one of these naughty roasts?

The temperature is still a little bit too warm to be cooped up in a kitchen just yet, so grab your bubble and try one of these devine Sunday lunches.

The Oak, Widmore Road, BR1

The cosy and welcoming atmosphere of The Oak will make you feel like you're at home as you devour one of their mega roasts. 

The traditional home-cooked Sunday lunch is served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding.

There is a choice of beef sirloin, roast pork with crackling, roast chicken and stuffing or a butternut squash and lentil wellington. 

Roasts start at £12.95 for the vegetarian option.

The George, Hayes Street, BR2

This child-friendly pub in the heart of Hayes is a beautiful spot to enjoy a warming roast dinner. 

Serving a self-proclaimed perfect roast, Sunday lunch at The George includes plump Yorkshire puddings, beef dripping potatoes and sauteed vegetables. 

Roasts are served with the 21-day-aged beef, roast pork belly with crackling, a trio of meats or fig and dolcelatte nut roast.

There's also a full menu for fussy eaters. Meat roasts start at £13.50. 

Toby Carvery Crown, Bromley Common, BR2

There's nothing quite like a Toby Carvery, they're famous for a reason.

The Toby serves a wide variety of all the trimmings, including a list of condiments as long as my arm and countless ways of cooking a potato.

Roasts at the carvery are just done differently and the opportunity to customise your meal is the real joy of dining here.

There is a full menu available on a Sunday as well as the carvery that serves a choice of lamb, turkey, beef, gammon and there are also vegetarian options.

The regular carvery costs £10.29 on a Sunday and it's like home, but better - you can even go up for seconds. 

Cow and Pig, East Street, BR1

The clue is in the name at the award-winning Cow and Pig, specialists in cooking up the juiciest cuts of meat from the local butchers at Smithfield Market.

The menu changes seasonally but there is always a variety on offer which has recently included 28-day-aged sirloin, saddleback pork belly, leg of lamb and herb fed bronze turkey. 

Sunday lunches are served with roast potatoes, a homemade Yorkshire pudding, savoy cabbage, leeks, peas, honey glazed carrots and speciality gravy. 

The roasts range from £12 to £16. 

Imperial Arms, Old Hill, BR7

Quirky British country pub, Imperial Arms is the ideal pub to stop in on a lazy Sunday to help you relax after a busy week.

The summer Sunday lunch menu offers a free range supreme of chicken, crispy free range slow roasted pork belly, roast grass fed lamb, grass fed beef sirloin, goats cheese nut roast or a vegan nut roast.

Prices for a meat roast start at £14.95.
