Millwall – Jed Wallace

Watford Observer:

Millwall put together a very strong campaign last season, pushing on from an initial relegation scrap to finishing just outside of the top six.

Wallace was at the heart of that success, posing a constant threat to defences with his strong running, superb delivery and eye for goal.

In 43 games Wallace bagged 10 goals and 13 assists to go along with his superb work rate.

Norwich City – Todd Cantwell

Midfielder, aged 22

Watford Observer:

The England under 21 international will be in high demand in the coming weeks, however if The Canaries can hold onto their star man then their chances of a first time return to the Premier League will be much improved.

Norwich will be looking to Cantwell to show his class in the Championship if they can rebuff advances from some big-name sides.

Nottingham Forest – Joe Lolley

Midfielder, aged 28

Following a heart-breaking final day collapse, Forest missed out narrowly on the playoffs. However with main men like Joe Lolley, the historic club will be confident of finishing the job this year.

Preston North End – Daniel Johnson

Midfielder, aged 27

Watford Observer:

With more than 200 appearances for the men from Deepdale, Johnson is fast becoming a Preston legend.

The tricky winger scored 12 league goals in 33 games adding a respectable seven assists to his tally.

Signed for a reported £50,000 fee in 2015 Aston Villa, Johnson is one of the best Championship bargain buys of the last decade.

Queens Park Rangers – Bright Osayi-Samuel

Following Ebere Eze’s £17 million move to Crystal Pala, pacey winger Osayi-Samuel takes the over the mantle as QPR’s best player.

The 22-year-old came second in the player of the year vote last season and will be looking to kick on and establish himself as the club’s main man.

To do so Osayi-Samuel will have to improve on his tally of five goals and eight assists, but it is clear to see the young man has more than enough ability to do so.

Reading – George Puscas

Forward, aged 24

Watford Observer:

The Romanian namesake of Real Madrid and Hungary legend Ferenc Puskas, George has big boots to fill.

But full them he did in his first season with The Royals. Twelve goals and three assists in 38 league – a strong return and his best in a single season for the man who signed from Palermo.

And the club will be looking to their main man, who has played over 100 Premier League games, to lead them in the coming season.

Swansea City – Andre Ayew

However, as things stand, the Senagalese international, who bagged five Premier League goals and four assists last year, is Watford’s stand out talent.

Signed from Renne for a fee reported to be about £30 million, the wiry energetic winger was a revelation last season, despite the disappointing relegation to the championship.

New boss Ivic will be hoping he can hold onto the star man to boost the club’s chances at winning promotion.
