A man has been charged with murder following the death of 38-year-old Philip Burr in Harlow, last October.

Philip died after he was struck by a car on Potter Street at around midnight on Friday, October 18.

Mark Brinkley, of Elizabeth Way, Harlow, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrate's Court on Saturday 29 August charged with murder.

The 25-year-old is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday, September 2.

A 49-year-old woman from Harlow, arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit murder, and a 40-year-old man from the town who was arrested on suspicion of murder have both been released on bail until Friday, September 18.

A 52-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, all from Harlow and arrested on suspicion of drug production, have since been released under investigation.
