A teenager has been arrested after assaulting a police officer in Bromley on Friday (August 28).
Officers were patrolling in Elmfield Road/ Kentish Way at around 12.20 pm, following reports of robberies carried out by e-scooter riders.
During the patrol, officers noticed a teenage boy with an e-scooter and attempted to approach him.
Met Police confirmed when they approached the suspect he turned away and took off in the opposite direction, abandoning the scooter and fleeing on foot.
After officers caught up with him, he kicked one of them in the shin whilst resisting arrest.
He was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, possession of a knife, assault on an emergency worker and riding the e-scooter without appropriate identification.
