Extinction Rebellion returned to the streets of Merton for their monthly Clean Air Cycle ride.
The event which saw activists cycle between Morden and Wimbledon has started to gain popularity with an increase in participation.
The group were well received in Wimbledon with people cheering and waving before completing the cycle with a dance to 'stayin alive' outside Morrison’s.
A spokesperson for XR Merton said: “We want to encourage people to think about their car use.
"With public transport capacity severely restricted we must find other ways to travel around the borough.
“The dangers of air pollution are well documented.
"The more people we can get travelling actively the better our air quality will be.
“We were having fun dancing but behind the fun is a serious message.
"We are in a climate and ecological emergency. We can’t just go back to business as usual.
"We need a green recovery to ensure our children, grandchildren and all the young people we care about have a planet to live on.”
