Police are searching for an elderly man who has been reported missing.

Herbert Russell, 85, was last seen at around 8.50am this morning (Monday August 10) in Newhouse Lane, Ongar.

He was seen just under an hour later at the Talbot roundabout in North Weald but has not been spotted since.

Mr Russell is wearing a sunhat, beige shorts, and grey long sleeve top with stripes on.

His family and police are concerned about him and are urgently looking for.

Chief Inspector Leigh Norris said:” We want to thank those who have helped so far in our search for Herbert.

“We would ask if people in the area are able to please check any outbuildings or land for Herbert that would be appreciated.

“If you have seen him, or have any information about where he is, please call us on 101 quoting incident 358 of the 10 August .”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Essex Police on 101.
