WHEN an aspiring lawyer visited a friend in a hospital, she had no idea it would turn her life around - and prompt her to return to university to retrain as a mental health nurse.
Ealing student Beth Taylor is now caring for others across west London as she prepares to graduate as a nurse in her second degree from the University of West London.
She has even created a unique therapeutic tool for people with emotionally unstable personality disorder.
After coming up with the idea as part of her dissertation, she is now working with an NHS Trust to implement it. Her efforts have led to her being shortlisted in this year’s Student Nursing Times Awards.
Beth finished her law degree at UWL before instantly enrolling to study Mental Health Nursing where she has been preparing for life on the wards.
