Diners are now able to get half price off their food and drink bill as a Government scheme launches today.

Businesses up and down the country have signed up for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme that was created to encourage people to get back to dining out safely.

It will see prices in restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and other hospitality businesses slashed up until August 31.

Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday across August, businesses who have registered will offer half price food and drink, up to a total value of £10 per person.
