Detectives investigating a suspected attempted kidnap incident have released an image of a man they are working to trace.

The teen was in Bexleyheath on Friday night when the man approached her from behind and grabbed hold of her.

She then screamed with the suspect running off into the night.

Met Police have today released an image of the man they are wanting to trace after the horrifying attempted kidnap unfolded near Upton Road about 10.30pm on Friday, June 25.

The suspect is a described as a white male, wearing black bottoms, a beige jumper, with a face mask pulled down to his chin.

Detective Constable Tristan Hunter, investigating, said: “Though the victim was not physically injured, she was left incredibly shaken by this frightening incident.

“I urge anyone who may recognise this man to contact us immediately.”
