TWO warehouses on the Acton Park Estate, Park Royal, are being made available to food redistribution charity City Harvest.

It collects surplus food from suppliers and delivers it to more than 300 groups across London.

In turn, these organisations provide 80,000 meals a week to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, family centres and domestic abuse refuges.

The new space is being provided by warehouse managers and developers SEGRO and will complement City Harvest’s existing centre, also on the estate.

In April, SEGRO launched its Centenary Fund, in which £10m will go to to community projects in the UK and Europe over the next decade.
