PUB bosses are on the hunt for a hooded criminal who was caught posting a fire extinguisher through their letterbox.

The incident at The Two Brothers was caught on CCTV and comes as reports of other extinguishers being trashed nearby on the same night.

A cleaner discovered the situation at the venue in Townhill Way, Southampton, when they turned up at the watering hole to see a mess outside on Friday morning.

After walking inside, she saw the fire extinguisher had come through the letterbox, and had spilled near the bar.

CCTV showed one hooded person post the extinguisher through the pub door, while another person is seen looking at the pub, before they walk off.

Daily Echo:

The incident happened at 12.44am on Friday, July 10.

The duty manager of The Two Brothers, who did not want to be named, said: “Basically our cleaner came in and found a mess outside, so we checked cameras and saw it then.”

“We have never had any real issues down here, it’s concerning but with the current day and age, people find anything to have a bit of fun unfortunately.

“I just hope the police find them really, and do whatever they need to do to stop it happening to everybody else, or other people.”

Daily Echo:

One nearby resident said a group of youngsters were spotted with two fire extinguishers, while another said they had spotted an abandoned extinguisher.

The Daily Echo contacted Hampshire Constabulary but had not received a response at the time of going to print.
