THERE were serious injuries in a crash that has caused delays on the A259.
A car and a motorbike were involved in the collision at Bishopstone near Seaford just after 5pm this evening.
The Highways Agency is on the way to the scene to remove diesel from the road.
A Sussex Police spokesman said there had been “serious but not life threatening injuries” – but did not say who had been hurt.
The road remains blocked and traffic is being diverted via Marine Parade and Claremont Road.
There is queuing traffic for miles – from the Denton Corner roundabout.
