Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was hit by a car and died.
Officers were called to Longmore Avenue in Barnet on Monday (June 29) at around 9.35pm to reports of two teenage girls being hit by a car.
A girl, 13, was rushed to a north London hospital but died shortly before 11pm that night.
The second victim, aged 15, was shocked but physically injured from the incident.
Police say the driver, 41, stopped at the scene and she was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The driver was taken to a north London police station and charged with dangerous driving.
Detectives from the Road and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
They would like to speak with any witnesses, anyone who has information about the collision, and any motorists who captured the collision, or the moments leading up to it, on dash cam footage.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8246 9820.
