A brother and sister from Cheam have successfully completed their mission to run over a mile everyday for 26 days.

Joshua Chidwick, 4, and Chloe Chidwick, 9, decided to set themselves the challenge to help raise money for St Raphael's Hospice.

Youngest Joshua came up with the idea after seeing Captain Tom 'make lots of pounds to help people.'

Originally, the siblings wanted to run around their garden 100 times, but their mother, Danielle Chidwick, encouraged them to do something even more challenging.

This Is Local London:

Speaking to Sutton Guardian, Joshua and Chloe Chidwick, said: "These special places do not have enough money to run as the coronavirus has cancelled lots of their fundraising events.

"It feels good to raise lots of money but it was really tiring.

"There were good things and bad things, it was not always easy especially when it was hot.

"But it made it all worthwhile to raise money for St Raphael's Hospice."
