One person was rescued and around 30 evacuated after a fire broke out inside a flat on Lewisham Road, Greenwich.
According to the London Fire Brigade, four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the blaze at around 12:50pm today, June 15.
Part of a four-roomed flat, which is up on the eight floor of a 13-storey block, was on fire.
Firefighters led one person to safety using an internal staircase, and around 30 people had left the building before the Brigade had arrived, with no reports of any injury.
Fire crews from Greenwich, Lewisham, Deptford and Lee Green had the fire under control by 1:30pm.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
