A man has been charged with the attempted rape of a woman in West Norwood Cemetery.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on Tuesday, May 26, at around 5.35pm.
The victim, in her 50s, told police she was approached by an unknown man who assaulted her.
An investigation was launched by detectives from the Safeguarding Unit on Central South.
Andrew Poku, 31, Eversley Road, was arrested and charged on Tuesday, June 2.
He appeared in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 3 June and was remanded in custody to appear at Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday, 1 July.
