A boy in his teens has been hit by a car in Orpington, and has been taken to hospital where police await an update on his condition.

Witnesses report that the victim was "deliberately mowed down by a car."

Police were called to a collision on Ravenscourt Road in Orpington around 4:45pm on Thursday, May 21, with officers and ambulance services attending.

A boy in his teens was found suffering injuries and was rushed to hospital where the Met say they await an update on his condition.

In a statement, police say one male has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The suspect is currently in police custody, and enquiries into the incident continue.
