Eight more coronavirus patients have died at the trust which runs Northwick Park Hospital.

NHS England today revealed eight more patients being cared for by London Northwest University Healthcare NHS Trust have died after testing positive for Covid-19.

The deaths occurred between April 14 – May 2.

The death toll for the trust now stands at 520.

Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.

This means some of the deaths that were first recorded in the last 24 hours may actually have taken place days earlier.

NHS England guidance states: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure."

Across the UK, a further 327 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in hospitals to 21,180.

Of the latest deaths, patients were aged between 46 and 101 years old.

Seventeen of the 327 patients (aged between 47 and 97 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
