MONEY from the Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Christmas street collection has been put towards helping a group continue to provide a much-needed service in the town.
The club has used money from the street collection to fund aluminium trays to OsNosh – a group making cooked meals from food which would otherwise be thrown away by supermarkets, and providing them to those in need.
OsNosh, which is run by brothers Ben and Tom Wilson, usually holds weekly sit-down meals at Holy Trinity Church in Oswestry.
However, because of lockdown measures that are currently in place, they have been unable to hold these events.
But now, with the new aluminium trays, they are able to provide the meals on a takeaway basis.
The Cambrian Rotary Club has also managed to source 1,500 plastic aprons and gave to the Foodbank in Oswestry.
