A Croydon man has been arrested and charged with firearm offences after police found a gun and ammunition in his possession.
On Sunday (April 5), the Met Police announced they had arrested 36-year-old Leon Roberts for two firearm offences related to items seized from an address in Croydon.
In a statement released by the Met on Sunday, a spokesperson said:
"A man has been charged with firearms offences following the seizure of a self-loading pistol and ammunition at an address in Violet Lane, Croydon on Friday, April 3.
"Leon Roberts...was charged on Friday, April 3 with firearms offences including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life."
The Met said he was due to appear in court again on Friday, May 1.
