Two people were arrested after police found nine black bags full of cannabis during a traffic stop on Merantun Way in Merton recently.
Announcing the bust on Twitter Thursday (March 26), the Kingston Police branch of the Met said that two people were in custody after a traffic stop yielded the large amount of illegal drugs.
They were subsequently charged with traffic and drug offences.
"When our PCs stop a car, they could find anything, but this one on Merantun Way, had a "booty-full" boot.
"Inside were 9 black sacks full of cannabis leading to two in the cells.
"Both arrested and charged for the drugs and the driver got a few traffic offences too," a spokesperson for Kingston MPS said.
