People wishing to donate or help out NHS staff are now given some guidance.

The London North West University Healthcare NHS Charity has been received a plentiful of donations recently to aid workers at its hospitals.

Individuals, businesses and organisations throughout Ealing, Harrow and Brent have left generous with pledges of support for all staff during the coronavirus outbreak.

The charity and the London North West University Healthcare occupational health department have created a Covid-19 staff well-being appeal to assure that all these donations are sent to the right place.

The appeal team will be using any funds raised to provide psychological support, healthy food, care packs and quiet spaces for staff to relax during their breaks.

Appeal Team Lead Victoria Manning said: ‘We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support for our wonderful NHS staff as they cope with the difficulties of the current situation.

“We want to make sure that this amazing support is coordinated effectively, so we ask the public and businesses to either donate though our Appeals page on JustGiving, our Charity website at www.lnwhcharity.org.uk/donate or by emailing us on lnwh-tr.charity@nhs.net "

Items range from toothbrushes, eye masks, dry shampoo, fruits, snacks, water and tinned goods.

Indoor plants, magazines, soft lights, phone chargers, bean bags, massage chairs and more would also be accepted.

The LNWH Charity will ensure that all of the donations they receive through the website or JustGiving will be used to support all NHS staff across all hospital and community services.
