River bus service Thames Clippers have announced a raft of changes to its schedule, as the organisation deals with the fallout of reduced passenger numbers and the London lockdown announced by Boris Johnson.
“In light of the Prime Minister’s communication on Monday evening, Thames Clippers have taken the decision to further review the services it is currently operating to provide essential travel where needed,” the firm said on Tuesday.
As part of the changes, operations will cease between 10am and 4pm “to discourage any non-essential travel”, but will continue to provide peak AM and PM services.
“All weekend services will also cease from this weekend until further notice,” they added.
“Thames Clippers will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates when appropriate.”
The updated schedule, in place with immediate effect, the last AM service / first PM service (weekdays) will be:

– Eastbound departing Embankment Pier at 0904, resuming at 1604
– Westbound departing Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) Pier at 0905, resuming from North Greenwich Pier at 1515
