Parking laws in Brent will be somewhat relaxed as people continue to try and deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
Brent Council announced that it is taking a “common sense approach” to parking enforcement during this time and will focus on “serious contraventions”.
This includes yellow lines, loading restrictions, zigzags at crossings and obstructions of dropped kerbs.
It noted that all residents should continue to follow regulations and, above all, should heed the Government’s advice around travel.
This covers only going out for medical needs or to the shop for essential items, only exercising outdoors once a day and only travelling to work if it is necessary.
The council added that key workers would be given “more flexibility” around where they park in response to the “challenging situation” facing the country.
It explained that, given the nature of the situation at present, rules around parking could change at any moment and advised residents to keep updated via the council’s website.
