Bexley is calling for volunteers to help support vulnerable residents as the number of coronavirus cases soars within the borough.
With the drastic increase of 7 to 22 cases in Bexley in just one week – the council urge any residents who can help to register through an online hub.
The council and Bexley Voluntary Service have joint forces to best provide and direct people to the correct support during the global pandemic.
Councillor Teresa O’Neill said: “The pandemic is creating extra challenges for many vulnerable people.
“So, I urge anyone who has the time and can help to share your details with the Volunteer Hub.
“We are very pleased to be working with Bexley Voluntary Services on this scheme because they are a well-established organisation working closely with Bexley’s fantastic voluntary community groups.
“They can direct you to the people and places that need your help most. ”
