Forecasters predict more unsettled weather over the weekend as the UK prepares for its second storm of the week.

Unlike Storm Ciara which brought strong winds and freezing temperatures - Storm Dennis is predicted to bring wet and windy weather over the weekend, and a 'yellow weather warning' has been issued in Richmond and other parts of the country.

On Friday evening from about 7pm, it will become murky with low clouds, heavy rainfall and strong winds.

This also means that residents living along the River Thames are being advised to expect low-level flooding as a result of the next high tide which is predicted to arrive in Richmond from 7pm on Friday and will measure at 5.0m.

A yellow flood warning has been issued in Hampton and will be live from 7pm.

Despite today being mainly dry, persistent rain that will arrive over the weekend will result in it being very unsettled, with spells of rain and wind.

From February 16 to February 18, there is a continuation of windy weather but it is set to improve and overall forecasters predict that temperatures over the weekend will fall between 7 °C and 12 °C.

It will also be brighter but colder with sunny spells and blustery showers.

There is also the risk of hail and thunder.
