Around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Westmoreland Drive in Sutton in the early hours of February 13.
Four fire engines from Sutton, Wallington and Mitcham were deployed to the address at 6:45am and had managed to contain the fire by 7:23am.
According to emergency services reports - most of a studio flat on the ground floor was damaged by fire.
One man left the building before the Brigade arrived and firefighters led seven people from neighbouring flats to safety.
There were no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
