A police disruption operation at Woolwich Arsenal Station has seen three men arrested for possessing class drugs, suspected stolen goods and assaulting a police constable.
The latest Met Police operation run in conjunction with British Transport Police saw officers in uniform carrying out stop and searches and metal detectors set up at the train station in Greenwich.
One adult male was arrested for actual bodily harm on a police constable, as well as criminal damage and disorderly conduct in a police station, and remains in custody.
A second adult male was wanted at Hendon Magistrates Court in north west London, and was then found to be in possession of a class A substance and was charged to court.
The third adult male was arrested after being found in possession of suspected stolen goods, and has been released under investigation whilst enquires continue.
The Met's Operation Avara, or Operation Viking for the BTP, is run in conjunction with Southeastern Railway and Docklands Light Railway.
Multiple other disruption projects have seen dozens arrested in recent months, with operations at North Greenwich, Lewisham, Maze Hill, Plumstead and Sidcup stations.
