SHOPPERS at intu Uxbridge will be encouraged to stop and chat on Time to Talk Day this Thursday (6) as part of a national campaign to start conversations around mental health.
A new seating area on the Lower Mall, outside Next, has been turned into Chatty Chairs, where visitors can speak to each other or the charity, Hillingdon Mind.
The Chatty Chairs area will host other similar events during 2020 and remain on the mall to encourage more conversations between visitors.
In December, intu chief executive Matthew Roberts signed the Time to Change pledge, a social movement run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness to transform attitudes to mental health in the workplace.
