A man has been charged with assault after an elderly man was attacked with a branch.
Simcha Hirsch, 33, of Knightland Road in Clapton, has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in relation to the incident in Warrant Court, Grange Hill, near Chigwell, shortly before 6.20pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019.
The victim, a man in his 70s, suffered superficial wounds after being hit over the back of a head and was kicked several times after he fell to the floor.
Hirsch will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 19.
