A free online computer school celebrated its first anniversary with an award ceremony and dinner last week.

BlueSky Citadel is a non-profit educational institution that offers free courses in different areas of IT and business.

Founded by the city of God; a branch of the redeemed Christian Church of God, the event was held on January 25.

The course uses IT as learning aids for youth that are unemployed and aims to bring them back to employment.

MP Sir David Evennett, Bexleyheath MP was the ceremony’s special guest.

Evennett presented the awards to students and heard their testimonies on the impact of the course.

In his Speech, he praised the church, the staff, and students for their hard work and devotion to the course.

He also congratulated everyone involved on a positive and successful outcome.

Guests also included Bexley Mayor Geraldene Lucia-Hennis and her husband, Peter.
