THOSE wanting to get into the world of board games need look no further than Oswestry Library's board game café.

The group meet twice a month, with a session taking place for those just dipping their toes into the world of board games, and those who are more experienced.

The sessions are held by Mark Kennett, who has been playing board games for three decades.

"It's a monthly thing at the library," said Mark. "We've going for around 12 months now but I've been playing board games for 30 years.

"We play a wide variety of games and people can bring their own. Last month we had 18 people here but it's usually anywhere between 10 and 20 people.

"This is our gateway session but on Sunday's we have a session for more experienced players, with longer games.

"But anyone can take part, from eight to 80 as they say on the box."

The group will next meet on Saturday February 29 and the more experienced session will take place at Oswestry Memorial Hall on Sunday, February 16.
