A student choir took part in an prestigious annual concert in west London for the first time.
Chigwell School from Year 4 and above performed at Cadogan Hall on Saturday, January 18.
The show featured a broad repertoire from Classical songs from the Baroque period to 1960s pop including a Beach Boy’s medley.
Last year’s head boy, Lucas Abrami-Gill, returned to sing excerpts from Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni, accompanied by a professional orchestra.
Pupils of Woodford Green Prep and their director of music, Sarah Henderson, joined Chigwell School on stage as part of a collaboration with other schools who participated.
A statement from Chigwell School said: “We were honoured to have our Old Chigwellians back, from either end of the country, to give us a most beautiful recital including Tavener’s ‘The Lamb’".
