Enquiries are continuing into an incident in which a woman and her dog were attacked by two dogs.

The 52-year-old victim was walking her cocker spaniel, Poppy, in the Clayton Hill Country Park area in Nazeing at about midday on Sunday, December 28.

They were bitten by two large dogs, one of which was not on a lead.

The woman suffered a bite to her face that required hospital treatment, while Poppy serious injuries and is still receiving medical care.

A woman and man were walking the dogs that attacked them and were both described as white and middle aged.

The dogs were brown or grey in colour.

Essex Police would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has any information about this incident.
