Firefighters were forced to tackle a bedroom fire near Dartford on New Year's Day, rescuing one person and a dog.
Kent Fire & Rescue Service were called to reports of black smoke billowing out of a bedroom window in Highview, Vigo, near Dartford at around 7pm on January 1.
Firefighting crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames using a main jet and a high-pressure hose reel.
One occupant was rescued from the property, as well as a dog, and the crews were able to stop at around 9:30pm.
Kent Fire & Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is not yet known, but is being investigated.
