Shoppers in Barnet can park for free in all council car parks and pay-to-park bays during weekends this December.
Barnet Council is providing shoppers and visitors on December 14 and 15, 21 and 22, and 28 and 29.
Geoff Mee, Barnet Council’s interim assistant director for transport and highways, said: “This is a great way to give back to our community during the holiday season. We hope it will encourage residents and visitors to explore and enjoy the unique and diverse town centres of our borough.”
Free parking only applies to council-operated ‘paid-for’ parking areas. It does not apply to permit bays or private car parks. Valid permits will still be required at these locations.
