Councillor Neil Dallen visited Epsom Station last week with his wife to present a £9,500 cheque to Epsom Division Girlguiding.

The former mayor had chosen the Guides as one of his charities to support during his mayoral term in 2018/19.

Division commissioner Mary Zoeller said: "We are so grateful to Councillor Dallen for choosing us as one of his charities during his mayoral year.

"We are currently fundraising to open Little Acres Lodge at Horton Country Park in Epsom, a brand-new facility that will benefit young people in the local area and beyond.

"We are radically transforming the limited facilities at our campsite by constructing a well-equipped, modern building offering kitchen facilities, disabled access, accommodation, toilets and showers to Guiding and Scouting groups and the wider community.”

The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides also raised an incredible £610.74 on the same night carol singing and thanked Epsom Station and Epsom commuters for their support and generosity.
