Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Neasden have named the victim as 38-year-old Croydon man Justin Bello.

Officers were called at 8.16am on November 25, to Lovett Way.

A body had been found in a communal area at the rear of the premises.

Officers attended and a man, now identified as Justin, was pronounced dead at the scene. Justin’s death was initially treated as unexplained but is now being investigated as a murder.

A post-mortem examination was held on November 28, at Northwick Park mortuary. Officers are not releasing a cause of death at this time for operational purposes, but can confirm the death is not thought to have been the result of a stab or gunshot injury.

Justin's family have since issued a short statement: “So many lives have been destroyed by this senseless evil act which took Justin from us and we urge the public to come forward with any information they might have.”

As part of the investigation, a 41-year-old man was arrested in Norfolk on November 29 on suspicion of murder.

He was taken into police custody. He has since been released on bail to a date in late December.

A 48-year-old man was arrested in Cricklewood on November 30 on suspicion of murder. He has been bailed to late December.

A 47-year-old man was arrested in Gipsy Hill on December 5 on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released on bail to early January.

Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating, supported by colleagues in the North West Command Unit.
