Spanning the borough: the new 278 bus
PEOPLE in Hillingdon are benefiting from a new bus route between Ruislip and Heathrow Airport.
Running every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday and every 20 minutes in the evenings and on Sundays, the new 278 route starts from Ruislip station before going via Hillingdon station to Hayes and Harlington station.
From there, it replaces the existing 140 via Station Road and Harlington Corner to terminate at Heathrow Central.
Route 140 runs between Hayes & Harlington and Harrow Weald.
The new bus serves Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3.
Tony Caccavone, Heathrow Director of Surface Access, said: “Routes like this will help us encourage more of our colleagues to leave their cars at home and take the bus.”
