HAVEN for the Homeless is aiming to raise £3,000 to sponsor a homeless person through a three-month programme which should lead to supported housing and a job.
The programme includes giving that person access to Buses4Homeless, which has vehicles that can be used for shelter, dining, wellness and learning.
Two years ago, Dan Atkins, founder of Buses4Homeless, discovered a man sleeping rough in the luggage storage compartment of a coach.
That day, he bought a double-decker bus and began refurbishing it into a home for the man.
Fast-forward two years, they are now good friends and the man is back in employment, has a roof over his head and is happy.
Haven has teamed up with https://buses4homeless.org/ in Acton for a week of fund-raising until Saturday.
It will be rounded off by singers, musicians, dancers, spoken word-artists and more from RAaW Londo, who will be Performing For Change in Camden.
The show will be streamed live through social media and Euro Genc TV to raise awareness and to bring in the pennies.
